This Privacy Policy describes how TrialScope ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our Chrome extension and web services at https://trialscope.cloud.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials (managed via Supabase Auth).
We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including:
We may collect standard browser information including IP address, browser type, and operating system for security and analytics purposes.
Your search queries and study data may be sent to third-party AI model providers (StepFun) for analysis. We do not use your data to train AI models without your explicit consent.
The Service accesses publicly available data from ClinicalTrials.gov (U.S. National Library of Medicine). We do not control or modify this data.
Account data and cloud-synced content are stored using Supabase (a third-party cloud database service). Supabase's infrastructure is managed by Supabase Inc.
Payment information is processed by our payment processor (Waffo). We do not store your credit card details.
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Account credentials are managed by Supabase Auth. Cloud-synced data (favorites, presets) is stored in Supabase's secure cloud infrastructure.
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data with:
Account data is retained for 90 days following account cancellation, then permanently deleted. Subscription and payment records may be retained longer as required by applicable law.
The Service uses Chrome's chrome.storage API to store your preferences, favorites, and settings locally. We do not use traditional cookies for tracking. Cloud-synced data requires a Supabase session cookie for authentication.
The Service is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email at least 14 days before the effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
